Function
We invite applications for a PhD position with the project title: ‘Analysis of economic impact of Anti-Biotic (AB) usage and measures to reduce the risks of Anti-Microbial-Resistance (AMR) in livestock production chains’. This research will be carried out within the framework of a recently started multi-disciplinary FP7-project called EFFORT, in which nine EU countries participate. This multi-disciplinary research combines animal health economics, operations research (economic simulation and optimization), veterinary epidemiology, statistics and risk analysis. Various techniques will be applied, such as stochastic risk modeling, economic optimization and statistical analysis. To overcome gaps in knowledge and/or skills relevant courses will be offered.
